Rueben Cole

Still another of the pioneers of Franklin County has passed away. Rueben Cole died at his residence in Geneva Township last Saturday, May 25, 1889 aged 64 years, 9 months and 25 days.

Mr. Cole was born in Skeneateles, Onondaga County, NY, July 27, 1824 and came to Franklin County in 1856, settling soon after on the farm upon which he died near Geneva. Ther funeral services were held at the M.E. Church at Geneva on Monday and was conducted by Rev. T. A. Trimble.
